This role will give you the opportunity to work on a clean sheet cutting edge program, but with the financial backing of a larger entity.

You will be working on the 'first micro-grid in a box'.

You will work directly with the wider R&D Group and lead the concept design and improvement of enclosures, cable management systems and thermal management solutions for their new product suite.

What we're looking for:

· BS in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent

· 5-8 years of relevant experience in the development of mechanical designs for electrical power products, outdoor energy conversion systems, energy storage, and electric vehicle charging gear designed to UL and CE standards

· Experience with outdoor enclosure design and thermal management techniques for power conversion

· Experience with manufacturing and production processes, design for manufacturing and assembly (DFMA)

· Hands on experience in prototyping and building components, sub-assemblies and mechanical parts using shop tools including 3D printers, lathes, band saws, laser cutters, water jets, wire EDM etc.

· Experience with Solidworks or equivalent CAD modelling software

· Expertise in sheet metal work, and manufacturing techniques including additive manufacturing, die stamping, die casting, extruding, machining, etc.
