    Summary:


    Applied Innovation is seeking a detail oriented, self-motivated individual to assist in the day to day operations of serving clients in our Managed Network Services department as a Tier 1 IT Support Specialist.

    The position is located at


    5555 Glenwood Hills Pkwy SE, Grand Rapids, MI The hours for this position are Monday to Friday from 8 AM to 5 PM or 7 AM to 4 PM with an on call rotation after training is complete.


    Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
    Installing and supporting network systems, including workstations, servers, and infrastructure devices at the client's location
    Troubleshooting, resolving, and escalating technical issues as needed
    Update client documentation in document retention system
    Recommend procedure modifications or improvements
    Participating in execution of client's Business Technology Roadmap

    Minimum Qualifications:
    To perform this position successfully, an individual must be able to perform each job duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skills, and abilities required.
    Experience in PC, MAC, and server operating system environments
    Possess working knowledge of Microsoft Office tools including Office 365, Outlook, Excel, and Word
    Excellent customer service skills are essential.
    Must be dependable, professional, organized, detailed oriented and able to perform multiple tasks simultaneously
    Ability to quickly learn, understand, and manage new systems related to information technology
    High degree of flexibility and problem solving


    Education/License/Experience Requirements:
    Two-year degree in Networking, Computer Science, Information Systems or equivalentexperience
    One of the following certifications preferred:

    A+ Certification
    NET+ Certification
    Microsoft Certified Professional (MCP)
    Other IT related certification

    Work Environment:


    While performing the duties of this job, work will usually occur indoors, away from the elements during normal business hours, but this position may involve overtime.

    Project demands may require evening and weekend work. This position is considered an active position. The noise level in the work environment is usually low to moderate.
