    Job Description


    American Traveler is seeking an Occupational Therapist specializing in Hand Therapy for an outpatient setting requiring SD licensure, BLS, and splinting skills.

    Responsibilities

    • Work in an outpatient orthopedic therapy setting
    • 8-hour day shifts, 40 hours per week
    • Patient population includes neuro, hand, and lymphedema cases
    • Hand therapy focus with splinting, blood flow restriction, and pool equipment
    • EMR system is Epic and experience is required
    • No floating required
    • No weekend or on-call coverage expected
    • Supportive rehab supervisors provide department oversight
    • 5-7 day orientation provided for facility and unit
    • No holiday coverage required
    • Scrub color is pewter, dark grey, or granite
    • Free parking available on-site
    • First-time travelers may be considered depending on prior experience and setting
    • No local travelers within a 100 mile radius will be accepted
    • Facility is known for being traveler-friendly and supportive

    Requirements

    • Current SD Occupational Therapy license required if applicable
    • BLS certification required
    • Bachelor's in Occupational Therapy and certification by the SD Board of Medical and Osteopathic Examiners required
    • Certified Hand Therapist (CHT) preferred, but may be waived based on experience
    • Minimum 1 year of relevant experience required
    • Splinting skills required
    • Epic charting experience required
