    This role is for someone who is a maker and doer first. If you're looking to spending most of your time managing, this role is not for you.

    You'll be responsible for product management for our flagship products. You'll be working closely with the founders to carry the product vision forward into tangible work-streams, build clear product requirement documents, work with the engineering leads daily/weekly on sprint planning, fill the gaps on areas like QA and finally close the loop with customer and qualitative and quantitative user feedback.

    This role is best suited for candidates with meaningful saas product experience who have an entrepreneurial mindset and experience working fast-paced, ambitious teams.

    Responsibilities

  • Define. Create, adjust, and maintain the roadmap for one or more products with a short to mid-range planning horizon.
  • Understand. Get feedback from the customer and users, building empathy and understanding their root problems and issues so that Canary can deliver software to solve their biggest pain points.
  • Refine. Work with a cross-functional team to break down the roadmap into deliverable and executable items while ensuring organizational needs are met and backlogs do not grow unwieldy.
  • Influence. Build trust and buy-in on product directions without formal authority over the team through effective communication, proven competency, and sharing of knowledge and expertise.
  • Decide. Make decisions that will impact the short and long-term success of the product and organization in an environment with ambiguity and risk
  • Deliver. Collaborate with the team to consistently deliver working, valuable software that meets the needs of users, customers, and the business.
  • Document. Create clear product documentation to help illustrate the why, establish context, and define scope such as product requirements, PR FAQs, one-sheets, user stories, etc.
  • Collaborate. Work closely with the product development team and other stakeholders to define, plan, and enable the execution of the product vision.
  • Validate. Define, establish, track, interpret, and share KPIs and metrics for product ideas and MVPs to inform effective prioritization, decision-making and cost/value analysis.
  • Adapt. Work within a startup environment, adapting strategies to changing circumstances and working iteratively and incrementally.

    Requirements

  • 4+ years experience overall
  • 2+ years experience working on a B2B SaaS product
  • Experience partnering with cross-functional teams
  • BA/BS degree
  • Detail oriented and well organized
  • Strong work ethic
