    Job Description

    The Manager Warehouse and Logistics is responsible for coordinating all activities of Warehouse Distribution Operations necessary to support the Distribution Sales Center.


    What your day will look like:

    • Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the UNITED policies and applicable laws
    • Interview, hire, and train associates
    • Plan, assign, and direct work
    • Appraise performance
    • Address complaints and resolve problems
    • Builds positive associate morale
    • Coordinates all warehouse distribution, loading, shipping functions, inventory control, finance, facility management, safety, and partnership with manufacturing, quality assurance, transportation, fleet, demand planning, and innovation, and sales teams
    • Managing internal and external logistics operations for transportation demands
    • Reviews processes and metrics to improve warehouse operations efficiencies and reduce cost
    • Manages and maintains responsibility for the overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of subordinate managers and supervisors who manage associates
    • Analyzes key performance indicators and develops new ones for the manufacturing and distribution operations to improve efficiencies
    • Ensure team follows DOT regulations and policies
    • Responsible for establishing long-term and short-term goals and assists in the preparation process for Capex and operation budgets
    • Train associates on OSHA, environmental monthly trainings and ensure regulations are being met
    • Maintains an open-door policy and spends time talking with associates at their job on a regular basis
    • Performs appropriate duties as assigned by management

    What you need to succeed:

    • Minimum age 18 years old
    • Valid driver's license required and obligation to maintain compliance with UNITED fleet policy
    • Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) as required by position and compliance with UNITED safety policies
    • Regular and prompt attendance is an essential function of the job
    • Ability to read, write and speak English
    • Ability to maintain a neat professional appearance within Company guidelines
    • Ability to maintain safety and security of Company assets
    • Ability to utilize all Company provided resources and technology
    • Strong leadership and organizational skills
    • Proven ability to coach and manage needs and concerns of multiple associates
    • Bachelor's degree (B. A.) or equivalent from a four-year college or university; or 3 to 4 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
    • Frequent standing, walking and typing
    • Ability to show business acumen and customer service skills
    • Willingness to work weekends, holidays, or flexible schedule as required
