    LPN Gig Specialist

    Description:
    A flexible and incentivized Licensed Practical Nurse position that allows individuals to pick up day shift or night shift, with no weekend, holiday, or shift requirement. This role involves floating between designated Mercy Hospital facilities of the nurse's choice.

    Job Description


    The LPN will provide patient care under the supervision of licensed professionals and maintain professional accountability for provision of patient care. The nurse must be able to work in various settings, including Behavioral Health (BH), Emergency Department (ED), Intensive Care Unit (ICU), and Medical-Surgical (MS).

    Required Skills & Qualifications


    To be successful in this role, candidates must have a high school diploma or GED equivalent. A graduate degree from an accredited practical nursing program is required; consideration may be given for comparable education experience and successful licensure. One year of recent bed-side LPN experience is preferred for Med Surg positions; two years are recommended for other specialties like ED and ICU.
    Candidates should also possess certifications such as BLS/ACLS/PALS depending on their chosen specialty.

    Benefits

    The LPN - GIG enjoys benefits such as $30/hour + Variable Shift Incentive, W-2 employee status, minimum 12 hours every 90 days, maximum 30 hours a week (Sun-Sat), variable shifts available, incentives ranging from $4-$20/hour. Additional perks include being responsible for scheduling a minimum number of hours.
