VP, National Advisory Sales, Mid-West Region

Job Description:
The VP, National Advisory Sales identifies and cultivates prospects and/or clients, initiates and follows up on new business opportunities, leads new business meetings and closes sales to RIAs, Private Banks, Multi-Family Offices and Advisory platforms.
Key Responsibilities
- Works with External Retail Sales researching leads, identifying and calling on potential prospects and existing prospects, providing clients with investment performance updates and general client servicing
- Works with Retail Sales in follow-up and closing the sale of investment services to prospects and/or clients
- Responsible for originating new investor relationships, preparing presentations and in some cases following up on client contacts
- Responsible for identifying and calling on Advisory Platform National Accounts for platform approvals and model allocations
- Work with National Sales team to develop target lists, strategies and identify opportunities within the Advisory channel
- Develops and maintains relationships with RIA's, Private Banks Multi-Family Offices and other Advisory Platforms
- Assists in sales training efforts and competitive research
- Help to build value add presentations
Requirements
- Three or more years sales experience
- Excellent sales skills, in-depth product knowledge
- Stature and experience to cover large/complex relationships
- Excellent interpersonal, presentation, oral and written communication skills and be highly ethical
- Strong planning, organization, analytical and technical skills
- Handle multiple responsibilities concurrently and work independently to perform a variety of tasks with accuracy and attention to detail
- Team player and possess the ability to drive key decisions in a dynamic, fast-paced environment
- Flexibility for extensive business travel that includes attending investment conferences and shareholder/prospect sales calls
- College degree in business administration or equivalent work experience
- NASD license series 7 and 63 required; CIMA, CAIA or CFA Charter holder preferred
