    We are currently looking for a proactive and meticulous Intellectual Property Docketing Clerk to join our team in the Kalamazoo office. In this role, you will assist attorneys in managing daily docketing tasks related to U.S. and international intellectual property issues, focusing initially on patent matters and expanding into trademark docketing.

    Responsibilities:

    • Handle and process docket-related correspondence efficiently.
    • Accurately input data and documents into the PATTSY docketing system.
    • Generate docket reports for attorneys and stakeholders.
    • Organize and save intellectual property files in the document management system.
    • Maintain professional relationships and uphold client confidentiality.
    • Occasionally travel between our Michigan offices for training purposes.
    • Perform additional duties as assigned by supervisors.

    Qualifications for the ideal candidate:

    • Proficiency in using computers and software like Word, Excel, and other MS Office tools.
    • High school diploma or equivalent required; additional education is a plus.
    • Prior experience in patent docketing is advantageous.
    • Familiarity with docketing systems and document management software is preferred.
    • Demonstrated strong work ethic, both independently and collaboratively.
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
    • Ability to multitask effectively.
    • Detail-oriented and results-driven approach.
    • Highly motivated and capable of handling confidential matters.
    • Experience in researching U.S. and international PTO regulations is a bonus.
    • Familiarity with USPTO and foreign PTO rules is advantageous.
    • Outstanding organizational abilities.
