    Sr. Software Engineer - Security - D&D Infrastructure (Contract/Temp)

    As aSr. Software Development Engineer - Security, working on D&D, you will help build, automate, and maintain security, database, networking, compliance, and cloud

    infrastructure for multiple teams of front and backend engineers working on the D&D Beyond product. You will participate in operational and system design reviews for product engineering teams.

    Our team makes every effort to build secure application infrastructure in a stable and performant manner We strive to protect applications and data from common security threats by performing and automating security checks, configuring authentication and permissions for applications and resources.

    As well as monitoring AWS resources through various tools, collecting and processing logs, and responding to incidents.

    What You'll Do:
    Design, build, and maintain the cloud-based infrastructure that supports software applications with a focus on security and compliance.
    Implement software to securely automate software development and deployment processes.
    Work with engineers to improve the security, efficiency, and ensure the reliability, and scalability of applications.
    Deliver training and support to users, developers and other specialists on compliance requirements and security standard processes.
    Identify and resolve issues, security/vulnerability or otherwise, with the system infrastructure.

    What You'll Bring:

    3+years of proven experience in DevOps, SRE, DevSecOps

    or a related field.
    3+ years using containerized workload management technologies (e.g., Kubernetes, AWS ECS, EKS).

    Consistent track record building and managing infrastructure in AWS including setting up VPCs, security groups, NACLs, and other network security mechanisms.

    Proficiency in Amazon security services such as AWS Identity and Access Management (IAM), AWS Key Management Service (KMS), AWS Shield, AWS WAF (Web Application Firewall), and Amazon Inspector.

    Ability to implement data encryption solutions using AWS services like KMS, AWS Certificate Manager, and understanding of S3 bucket policies and encryption mechanisms.

    Strong problem-solving and issue resolution skills.
    Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
    Proficiency in automating security tasks using AWS Lambda, AWS CloudFormation, or similar services.
    Understanding of integrating security into DevOps practices (DevSecOps), including CI/CD pipelines and automated security testing in AWS environments. Familiar with SNYK or other static code scanning tools and mitigation of findings.

    Nice To Have:
    Experience using Kubernetes and Terraform.
    Experience working with both relational (e.g., SQL Server, MySQL, Postgres) and non-relational databases (e.g., DynamoDB, MongoDB).
    Intermediate or greater knowledge of Python.
    Knowledge of Git.
    Understanding of monitoring tools (e.g., CloudWatch, Datadog, Sumologic)
    Experience with Linux
