- Perform and prepare monthly close journal entries and analyses by target due dates including, but not limited to the following:
- Revenue and related inventory transactions including inventory/cost of goods sold accruals and analysis including , depletion allowances, broker commissions, landed cost, purchase price variances (PPV), freight, and excise taxes
- Other areas as assigned such as fixed asset, capital project accounting, intercompany accounting, and other accounting transactions, as needed
- Perform and prepare monthly balance sheet reconciliations by target due dates
- Monitor all SKU data in ERP for completeness and accuracy
- Participate in performing physical inventory counts as needed
- Work cross-functionally with other departments in the organization on various projects and reconciliations, specifically with Supply Chain and Finance departments
- Assist in the preparation and validation of support and analyses requested for the annual GAAP audit and bank reporting requirements
- Document procedures/process for the roles accounting processes
- Support accounting management with special projects, ERP process improvements and ad hoc requests
- Bachelors degree in Accounting
- 5 8 years of progressive accounting experience
- 2+ years of Inventory/Cost accounting experience
- Business Central experience
- Industry experience with 3 tier system and excise tax
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills including the creation and manipulation of Pivot tables, V-/H-LOOKUP, and IF-THEN formula
- Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP and willingness to research and resolve accounting applications
- Ability to multi-task, work under pressure, and meet deadlines required
- Highly detailed oriented and organized in work
- Ability to work independently, as well as collaboratively with all levels of employees and management to maximize performance
- Strong communication skills, both oral and written

This vital role within the Accounting and Finance team, reporting to the Director of Accounting, entails overseeing day-to-day accounting tasks, particularly focused on inventory, cost of goods sold (COGS), and other income and balance sheet transactions as required. Responsibilities include preparing crucial account reconciliations, conducting financial statement flux analysis, and managing various special accounting and finance projects.
Salary: $95,000 $120,000
