Description
Duties· Design and development of Body or Trim or Closures.· Manage component development throughout the design cycle from concept stage through to production line off by using given development methodologies and processes for vehicle development.· Execute design utilizing Catia V5 independently and by leading Supplier Engineers or CAD modelers.· Conduct packaging / layout studies.· Create CAD 2D drawings in CATIA V6 for sheet metal parts using reference GD&T documents· Resource must be proficient in making 2D drawings in Catia V6· Experience with CATIA to develop complex 3D surfacing· Create drawings & 3D models using TEMA specified design process· Manage and continuously adjust priorities and processes to maintain project targets and deliverables – i.e.
schedule performance cost quality· Visualization of issues concerns and gaps for responsible parts and design processes.Participate in improvement and reflection activities as requiredRequirements· Bachelors of Science Mechanical Engineering or equivalent engineering degree.· Minimum 2 years of engineering design experience.· Minimum 2 years Engineering experience with Catia V5.
