The Chemical Operator (Blender/Compounder) is responsible for a variety of tank farm tasks including chemical blending, testing solutions, bulk loading of trucks and off-loading railcars.

This role is located at our Alsip Illinois facility.
The expected compensation for this position is a maximum hourly rate of $28.00 per hour depending on experience and qualifications and is bonus eligible.
Unload raw material trucks / railcars and perform incoming inspection test and COA evaluation.Blend test transfer antifreeze batches.Control/maintain Tank Farm raw material tank levels inventories.Perform preventative maintenance minor repairs on Tank Farm equipment.Inspect load test OEM trucks maintain calibrate laboratory test equipment perform analytical tests on antifreeze nd raw materials.Ordering supplies for station maintain strict adherence to ISO/QS standards.

Qualifications

At minimum a high school diploma or equivalent.Previous chemical blending experience required of 2+ years.Previous experience with bulk loading offloading of rail cars preferred.A good portion the primary activities are performed outdoors;
The Tank Farm Blender will be subject to inclement weather therefore ability handle all-weather conditions.Must able work carry heavy equipment tools large industrial valves chemical hoses raw material containers etc.The production facility within an indoor/outdoor industrial environment not climate controlled.Must able perform physically demanding tasks including lifting moving heavy objects;
