Phlebotomist – Rockford Urological Associates
Rockford Urological Associates is seeking a high-energy, dedicated Phlebotomist to join our fast-paced clinical team. We are looking for a professional who thrives under pressure, takes pride in exceptional patient care, and possesses the initiative to manage their workstation independently.
The ideal candidate isn't just skilled with a needle; they are a calming presence for our patients and a proactive "problem-solver" for our providers.
Core Responsibilities
- Precision & Accuracy: Perform efficient venipunctures, ensuring all samples are properly labeled and handled with 100% accuracy.
- Lab Management: Take ownership of the lab space, including onsite operation of centrifuge and PSA machines (onsite training provided).
- Documentation: Proactively enter results into the EMR system and maintain meticulous records for audit and compliance purposes.
- Inventory Control: Monitor and order medical supplies to ensure the lab is always fully stocked and prepared.
- Patient Advocacy: Explain procedures clearly to patients, answering questions and helping nervous or frightened individuals remain calm.
