The Unit Clerk / Telemetry technician is a dual function position with the Primary responsibility to observe cardiac rhythms using a central monitoring system and the prompt reporting changes in cardiac rhythm to primary nurse and/or charge nurse.

Secondarily, this position provides secretarial duties for the smooth running of the assigned patient care unit in accordance with the Hospitals' mission, physicians and patient expectations.

• Enters patient data into cardiac monitoring system, assures location of patient and monitor coincide.
• Maintains responsibility for monitoring equipment Manages unit supplies, activities, time, and other resources in a cost effective manner to reduce waste and unnecessary expenditures.
• CPI within 6 months of employment (Emergency Department and Behavioral Health Units only)
