    Job Description

    American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Neuroscience Tele/Stroke unit position requiring a TX or compact RN license and NIH Stroke Certification.

    Responsibilities
    Position is based in the Neuroscience 2 West Tele/Stroke unit of a hospital
    Care for patients with stroke and neurological conditions requiring telemetry monitoring
    Day shifts from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM
    13-week contract assignment
    Floating to other units may be required according to hospital needs
    Provide specialized nursing care to neurological and stroke patients in a telemetry-monitored setting
    Responsible for monitoring neurological status and performing frequent patient assessments
    Work as part of a multidisciplinary team within the neuroscience unit

    Requirements
    Active TX or compact RN license required
    Minimum 1 year of recent RN experience in telemetry or neuroscience specialty
    Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through AHA or ARC
    NIH Stroke Certification required
    No gaps in work history of 90 days or more in the past 12 months
    Must provide US Social Security Number and Date of Birth for consideration
    Candidates must live more than 50 miles from the facility; no local candidates accepted
