Position Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Director of Nursing to join our leadership team.
The Director of Nursing will oversee all clinical operations within the agency, ensuring the delivery of high-quality patient care while maintaining compliance with Federal and District of Columbia `s regulatory standards.
This individual will play a pivotal role in guiding and supporting our team of nurses and caregivers to deliver exceptional services to our patients.
Responsibilities:
Provide leadership and direction to the clinical staff, including registered nurses, licensed practical nurses, and home health aides.
Develop and implement policies, procedures, and protocols to ensure the provision of safe and effective patient care.
Monitor clinical outcomes and quality metrics to identify areas for improvement and implement strategies for enhancement.
Collaborate with other members of the leadership team to develop and execute strategic initiatives to drive growth and success.
Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations governing home health agencies, including Medicare and Medicaid guidelines.
Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide feedback, coaching, and support to clinical staff members.
Foster a culture of teamwork, professionalism, and excellence in patient care throughout the organization.
Serve as a liaison between the clinical staff, administrative team, patients, and their families to address any concerns or issues promptly and effectively.
Stay informed about industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies in home healthcare and integrate them into the agency's operations as appropriate.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in nursing required; Master's degree preferred.
Current, unrestricted RN license in the state of [insert state].
Minimum of 5 years of experience in a clinical nursing leadership role, preferably in home health or a related setting.
Demonstrated knowledge of Medicare and Medicaid regulations and accreditation standards.Strong leadership abilities with a proven track record of effectively managing and motivating a team.
Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
Ability to prioritize tasks, delegate responsibilities, and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
