POSITION SUMMARY

Wide Effect is working alongside a renown government shipyard looking for a Engineering Supervisor to join their pipe design department.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Facilitate communication of issues and solutions throughout the company.
• Recruit, train, develop, and evaluate resources to support department workload, including standard process updates and reviews, Engineering process enhancements, and improvements.
• Interface with peer Engineering Managers to ensure proper Engineering support across the department.
• Plan, direct, and coordinate resources and activities within the department.
• Estimate, schedule, and monitor assigned work and the work of resources.
• Track and report progress to budget and schedule commitments, including weekly meetings and reviews.
• Prepare, check, and issue high-quality deliverables (Drawings, models, work packages, etc.).
• Interpret contract requirements and develop change documents to support project needs.
• Define, track, and control subcontractor activities.
• Abide by and enforce organizational policies and procedures.

Requirements:

• B.S. in Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Naval Architecture, or related discipline.
• years in marine application design, or similar applications.
• Minimum of 5 years of supervisory or management experience with Engineering teams.
• Experience with design software, including shipconstructor, AutoCad, or equivalent software.
• Familiarity with Regulatory Body Requirements in the shipbuilding industry.
• Eligibility for U.S. Security Clearance.
