- Facilitate communication of issues and solutions throughout the company.
- Recruit, train, develop, and evaluate resources to support department workload, including standard process updates and reviews, Engineering process enhancements, and improvements.
- Interface with peer Engineering Managers to ensure proper Engineering support across the department.
- Plan, direct, and coordinate resources and activities within the department.
- Estimate, schedule, and monitor assigned work and the work of resources.
- Track and report progress to budget and schedule commitments, including weekly meetings and reviews.
- Prepare, check, and issue high-quality deliverables (Drawings, models, work packages, etc.).
- Interpret contract requirements and develop change documents to support project needs.
- Define, track, and control subcontractor activities.
- Abide by and enforce organizational policies and procedures.
- B.S. in Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Naval Architecture, or related discipline.
- years in marine application design, or similar applications.
- Minimum of 5 years of supervisory or management experience with Engineering teams.
- Experience with design software, including shipconstructor, AutoCad, or equivalent software.
- Familiarity with Regulatory Body Requirements in the shipbuilding industry.
- Eligibility for U.S. Security Clearance.
