    Lead Software Engineer, Full Stack

    Are you passionate about innovation and solving challenging business issues in a dynamic and collaborative environment? At Capital One, join a team of innovators and problem solvers dedicated to meeting customer needs. We are looking for Full Stack Software Engineers keen on integrating data with cutting-edge technologies. As a Lead Software Engineer at Capital One, you will play a key role in spearheading a significant transformation within the company.

    What You'll Do:

    • Lead a diverse portfolio of technology projects and a team of developers skilled in distributed microservices and full stack systems to develop solutions that address regulatory requirements
    • Stay updated on technology trends, experiment with new technologies, engage with technology communities, and mentor fellow engineers
    • Collaborate with digital product managers to deliver robust cloud-based solutions that enhance financial empowerment for millions
    • Utilize programming languages such as JavaScript, Java, HTML/CSS, TypeScript, SQL, Python, and Go, along with Open Source RDBMS and NoSQL databases, Container Orchestration services like Docker and Kubernetes, and various AWS tools and services

    Basic Qualifications:

    • Bachelor's Degree
    • Minimum of 6 years of software engineering experience (Internship experience not considered)
    • At least 1 year of cloud computing experience (AWS, Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud)

    Preferred Qualifications:

    • Master's Degree
    • 7+ years of experience in JavaScript, Java, TypeScript, SQL, Python, or Go
    • 3+ years of experience with AWS, GCP, Microsoft Azure, or another cloud service
    • 4+ years of experience in open source frameworks
    • 1+ years of people management experience
    • 2+ years of Agile practices experience
