Summary
VA Puget Sound Healthcare System (VAPSHCS) is a Level 1a major interdisciplinary teaching healthcare system with two divisions and multiple community-based outpatient clinics (CBOC). It is considered the most complex VA healthcare system nationwide. VAPSHCS has Emergency services and a full complement of specialty medical, surgical, psychiatric, critical care, and rehabilitation service-lines.
Duties
The incumbent practices as a peri-operative RN in the Operating Room (OR) providing nursing care in a scrub and/or circulating nurse role. The Operating Room provides surgical services to all surgical specialties and their patients within the VA system including Cardiac, Thoracic, Dental, Eye, GYN, Gen surgery, Neurosurgery, Ortho, OTO, Plastics, Podiatry, GU and Vascular. Transplants are not done at VA Puget Sound.
Duties include but not limited to:
Pay: Competitive salary, regular salary increases, potential for performance awards
Paid Time Off: 50 days of paid time off per year (26 days of annual leave, 13 days of sick leave, 11 paid Federal holidays per year)
Retirement: Traditional federal pension (5 years vesting) and federal 401K with up to 5% in contributions by VA

Licensure: 1 full and unrestricted license from any US State or territory
Work Schedule: Monday through Friday, 7:00AM to 3:30pm. On call status is required.
