    Description

    Biotechnician, Cell & Gene Therapy - Philadelphia, PA - Contract

    Proclinical is seeking dedicated individuals for the role of Biotechnician, Cell & Gene Therapy. This is a contract position located in Philadelphia, PA.

    Primary Responsibilities:

    This role is integral to the manufacture of Master and Working Cell Banks and performing activities within production facilities to support the manufacture of Cell & Gene Therapy products, and final product fills in accordance with current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMPs).

    Skills & Requirements:

    • High School diploma and relevant experience or Associates'/Bachelor's degree (science preferred) with relevant or equivalent experience
    • Ability to accurately perform arithmetic calculations including fractions, decimals, percentages, and basic algebraic and geometric calculations
    • Clarity of vision at near and mid-ranges (less than 20 feet), depth perception, and ability to identify and distinguish colors
    • Ability to wear appropriate clean room attire (i.e. surgical masks) and all Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)
    • Proficient in Oral & Written communication skills in English
    • Proficient in Microsoft (Excel, Word, Outlook)

    The Biotechnician, Cell & Gene Therapy will:

    • Operate and maintain equipment
    • Perform solution and material preparation
    • Participate in and perform technical transfer activities
    • Assist with the execution of validation activities
    • Receive and organize materials, and identify and communicate material discrepancies
    • Use support systems (e.g. LIMS)
    • Collect and record scientific and process data per good document practices
    • Follow compliance and regulatory requirements and current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMPs)
    • Follow and execute Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Batch Records (BRs)
    • Participate in the development of technical documents such as non-conforming events and deviations
    • Suggest continuous improvement ideas and identify technical problems
    • Participate in regulatory inspections and client audits
    • Cross-train in other areas and perform job functions across the entire site as needed
