    Senior Financial Analyst

    to join our team in Tampa, FL.
    The ideal candidate must possess

    3-5 years of experience in real estate investment and valuation. Experience with debt and equity originations preferred. An Undergraduate degree in Finance, Economics, Business, Accounting, or a related field is required. Advanced proficiency in MS Excel and knowledge of the entire MS Office Suite is required.

    Position Overview:
    The

    Senior Financial Analyst


    will prepare detailed financial analysis for investments in multiple real estate asset types including but not limited to multifamily, retail, office, industrial, hospitality, self-storage, and mixed-use.

    Prepares analysis in complex financial models and improves upon existing templates.
    Prepares comprehensive client packages and proposals of all types.
    Develops and utilizes working knowledge of lenders, banks, and capital markets to find solutions that benefit clients.
    Updates and maintains internal database.
    Incorporates market studies, micro and macro-economic trends, and local rent/sales comps into property analysis and valuation.

    Possesses a thorough understanding of market products, services available, and distinguishes Franklin Street from the competition in making recommendations for new financing opportunities.

    Proactively researches and stays abreast of industry trends and changes.
    Tracks critical dates and deliverables.
    Active contribution to client relationships expected. A moderate amount of client interaction via telephone, email, and face-to-face meetings will be expected.
    Assists in solving client issues. Provides documentation of issues and root causes for future issue avoidance.

    Coordinates and collects market research and data to determine appropriate rents, expenses, and vacancy assumptions for new underwriting and presentation materials.

    Collaborates with other Franklin Street divisions by sharing knowledge, clients, and market trends. Maximizes account penetration by increasing the depth and breadth of Franklin Street solutions across the client's organization.
    Performs office work directly related to the general business operations of the organization and its customers.
    Exercises discretion and independent judgment in matters related to the business and customer service.
    Performs other duties as assigned.

    Requirements:
    An undergraduate degree in Finance, Economics, Business, Accounting, or related fields is required.
    Advanced proficiency in MS Office suite (most specifically advanced Excel and Outlook) and related software required.
    Ability to query and manage large data sets required.
    3 – 5 years of experience in real estate investments and valuation. Experience with debt and equity originations preferred.

    Ability to learn and comprehend capital markets related to private equity or investment banking or a demonstrated record of success in either capital raising or institutional financial sales.

    Ability to learn and comprehend Market Sales, Secondary Mortgage Markets (e.g., Mortgage Backed Securities, Whole Loans, and Asset Backed Securitization).


    • Candidate needs to have personality traits to be effective as a point of contact for clients & lenders, as well as the ability to interact effectively with people within Franklin Street to develop and improve the product.
    Knowledge of structured credit products, especially with respect to commercial mortgage products is essential.

    Candidate must be willing to learn and get to know the players in the industry very well, including:

    rough size of their assets under management, who the decision makers are within each company, what kind of budgets they roughly have, and how they approach structured credit products (i.e., know who the best candidates for the Franklin Street solutions) are.

    Experience in cash flow forecasting, financial analysis, and real estate pro forma modeling.
    Fluent with basic real estate concepts for all major property types, strong grasp of financial terms and principles necessary in real estate underwriting (IRR, NPV, Return on Equity, etc.)
    Working knowledge of capital markets.
    Ability to take direction but work independently or as part of a team.
    Proactive thinker with a detail-oriented approach to problem solving.
    Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to meet time-sensitive deadlines. Ability to multi-task and adjust priorities in a constantly changing, fast-paced environment.
