Join our team of exceptional Advanced Practice Providers (APP's) in the Cardiac Critical Care Unit at Emory University Hospital.

The Cardiac Critical Care Unit (CCU) at Emory provides the opportunity to work closely with a variety of cardiac conditions including those with multi-system failure, advanced heart failure, and heart transplantation. We provide support to patients with severe states of shock including mechanical ventilatory support as well as mechanical circulatory support.

This is a Nocturnist position and the schedule will be 3 shifts per week from 6:30 PM to 7:00 AM.

Our Physician Assistants are an integral part of the Emory Healthcare integrated academic health care system. Some highlights of joining the Emory Healthcare team:

Salary range: $110,000 to $140,000 per year depending upon years of experience as a Physician Assistant.
This role is incentive plan eligible.

Job Description:

The Cardiac Critical Care Unit at Emory University Hospital is looking for an experienced Physician Assistant. Current ICU experience as Physician Assistant is required for this position.

This is a Nocturnist position with 3 shifts per week from 6:30 pm to 7:00 am in the CCU.

Job Description:

Assists in the evaluation and treatment of patients.
Documents the delivery of care in the individual's medical records.
Conducts patient interviews and documents patient histories, psychosocial histories, health status and medical problems or potential problems.
Under the direction of a physician, performs physical examinations and specialized diagnostic and/or therapeutic procedures including cast application and removal, wound suturing and dressing changes.
Assists physician in diagnosing medical problems, developing care plans, and prescribing treatment.

Minimum Qualifications:

Current ICU experience as a Physician Assistant
Completion of an accredited Physician Assistant program.
Currently Certified as a Physician's Assistant by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA).
Licensed as appropriate in the state of Georgia.
May require at least one year of direct experience in one or more high acuity clinical specialties.
Current BLS issued by the American Heart Association and Healthcare Provider certifications required. ACLS may be required in some areas.
