Summary

This announcement is for a Nursing Assistant position for the Community Living Center. Nursing Assistants carry out nursing care, clinical and technical procedures and ancillary services under supervision of the Registered Nurse (RN).

Duties

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

Provides care to acutely ill patients.

Performs assigned clinical technical procedures, such as blood glucose monitoring, taking and recording vital signs and collecting specimens.

Assists with the admission, transfer and discharge of patients. Prepares patient care rooms for admissions or transfers.

Practices techniques and principles of infection prevention and transmission precautions, etc.

Documents vital signs, nursing care and belongings inventory list in the electronic medical record and on appropriate flow sheet.

Observes patients and reports changed in appearance, including physical and emotion reactions.

Transports patients to procedures and appointments as needed.

Completes other duties as assigned.

Work Schedule: Full Time Rotating weekends, Rotating days and evenings.
Day Shift: 7:30am - 4:00pm and Evening Shift : 3:30pm - Midnight
