    Family Service League is seeking a full-time Activities Coordinator for a homeless shelter in West Babylon. The Activities Coordinator will be responsible for planning, organizing, and coordinating shelter recreation programs. 3,000 Sign-On Bonus** 3,000 Sign-On Bonus

    • The Activities Coordinator will develop, plan, organize, implement, and evaluate a variety of recreation programs, including special events.
    * review needs with appropriate management staff; Participate in the development of recreation program goals and objectives as well as policies and procedures.

    • Make recommendations for changes and improvements to existing standards, policies, and procedures in the recreation program.
    • The Activities Coordinator will participate in the implementation of approved policies and procedures.
    • Monitor work activities to ensure compliance with established policies and procedures.
    • Conduct and supervise special events; The Activities Coordinator will prepare purchase requisitions to order supplies and materials.
    • Respond to complaints and requests for information.
    * maintain awareness of new trends and developments in the recreation field; Associate's or Bachelor's degree preferred.
    Prior experience working with the homeless population is also a plus.
    Computer proficiency, including Microsoft Office, required.
