As the Director of the Regulatory Compliance team, your role is pivotal in leading OKX's efforts to uphold and exceed the standards of regulatory compliance across key jurisdictions.

This leadership position involves both a strategic oversight of the Regulatory Compliance function and hands-on involvement in critical regulatory compliance activities.

Your objectives include guiding the regulatory compliance team in mapping regulations to internal policies, procedures, and risk controls, identifying and addressing compliance gaps, ensuring the firm's readiness to adapt to regulatory changes, and developing and maintaining a comprehensive, standardized regulatory examination plan.

Your role is crucial in fostering a culture of compliance, acting as a bridge between senior management, the compliance team, and regulatory bodies.

    Responsibilities:

Lead the Regulatory Compliance team, setting objectives, managing performance, and providing mentorship to ensure a high level of expertise and motivation within the team.

Oversee the refinement of the firm's compliance policies and procedures, ensuring they are accurate, clear, and effectively mitigate compliance risks.

Direct the mapping of regulatory requirements across key jurisdictions to the firm's policies, procedures, and risk controls, ensuring a proactive approach to compliance management.

Spearhead the firm's response to regulatory changes, ensuring timely integration of such changes into the compliance framework and operational practices.

Develop and oversee a comprehensive and coordinated audit and regulatory examination process, including notification, document collection, interview and process live-walkthrough preparation, responses and follow-up communication, finding reviews, and signoffs.

Oversee findings resulting from audits and regulatory examinations to ensure they are appropriately tracked and remediated in a timely manner.

Act as a senior liaison with regulatory bodies, representing the firm in complex compliance discussions and negotiations, and ensuring a positive and proactive relationship with regulators.

Lead the compliance support for licensing applications, ensuring a cohesive strategy between local and central compliance requirements and efforts.
Develop and oversee a comprehensive compliance training program to enhance the regulatory awareness and adherence across the firm.
Facilitate strategic planning sessions with senior management to align the regulatory compliance strategy with the firm's overall business objectives.

    Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Law, Business Administration, IT, or a related field preferred; Master's degree preferred.

Extensive experience in a senior compliance role, with demonstrated leadership in developing and implementing compliance strategies in the crypto industry or similar regulated sectors.

Comprehensive understanding of global regulatory environments and specific knowledge relevant to the firm's operations in US, Asia, or EU/MENA regions.

Strong leadership qualities, with a track record of managing high-performing teams and fostering a culture of compliance.
Exceptional communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to engage effectively with internal and external stakeholders, including regulatory bodies.
Proven ability in policy and procedure development, with a focus on accuracy, clarity, and compliance risk management.
Professional qualifications in compliance, such as ACAMS or DipICA or equivalent, are highly valued.

    Nice-to-Have:

Exposure or strong interest in the crypto industry, including familiarity with blockchain technology.
Experience with risk management frameworks and compliance software solutions.
Previous experience in managing cross-jurisdictional compliance initiatives and teams.
