    is seeking a dynamic, business driven, executive leader in the Construction Management Services division of our growing organization.
    Strategic Sourcing Manager-Construction
    The Sourcing Manager is responsible for overseeing all procurement aspects of a construction project.

    The Director may also be involved in planning and managing the project from its earliest stages, including developing a budget and identifying potential contractors.


    Leadership:


    This role is responsible for engaging with a team of construction professionals and leading the sourcing and procurement activities and systems.

    Must be an organization driver constantly seeking ways to achieve desired outcomes.

    Communication:


    Communication skills are essential in conveying information to the team and other stakeholders as well as communication to negotiate with suppliers and clients.

    Must be a good verbal communicator with a high tendency to engage and collaborate. Must also have good written communication skills to drive clarity and commitment to plans. Must have strong client facing skills.

    Problem-solving:

    Problem-solving skills are essential to identify issues, develop solutions and implement them.

    The ability to be responsible for visualizing the entire construction process and understanding how to connect with a diverse set of stakeholders is highly desired.

    Having the ability to identify issues and develop solutions to help save time and money and ensure the project is completed successfully is essential.


    Education:
    Bachelor's degree and demonstrated success in Strategic Sourcing.

    Hands on:
    Early stages of development will require substantial hands-on performance until the team is fully built. Direct purchasing responsibilities will be substantial.

    Strategic Requirements:
    Successful candidate will have a strong propensity for finding and implementing better processes for achieving task requirements.

    Duties & Responsibilities Include:
    Sending RFQs and providing input on bids
    Define deadlines and manage resources.
    Working effectively with team members within the construction build process.
    Knowledge of Digital Procurement and Materials Management Software
    Reimagining the entire workflow and keeping stakeholders on the same page.

    Working with a team of architects, engineers, contractors, and other construction professionals to ensure that projects are completed on time and within budget.

    Coordinating with subcontractors to ensure that all materials are purchased and delivered on time.
    Estimating costs of labor and materials required for each phase of construction.
    Negotiating contracts with vendors to ensure that terms are met.
    Maintaining accurate records of all costs and expenses related to each project.

    Developing a purchasing strategy that drives client value.
    Manages other members of the purchasing team.
    Builds and maintains relationships with vendors.
