Job Description

The Shipping Supervisor is responsible for the accuracy of shipments and meeting all documented service requirements.

Duties/Responsibilities:

1. Ensures materials shipped are verified against pertinent documentation.
2. Establishes and maintains procedures for determining and meeting company and customer delivery commitments by handling materials, providing labor, and effective use of time.
3. Follows shipping methods for materials using the operations procedures; Resolves emergent issues for expedited deliveries to the customer and/or job site.
4. Ensure that all sales orders are processed and shipped on time.
5. Direct the flow of packages from Inventory to Shipping
6. Manage a tightly focused work group to accomplish and ensure all tasks are completed in a timely and efficient manner.
7. The ability to use software to track, check, prioritize and route orders.
8. Review and approve department timecards.
9. Manage all important documents such as packing lists, bills of lading, shipping labels etc.
10. Monitor and control the department's labor costs.
11. Enforce all safety policies.

Qualifications & Experience

• High school diploma or GED required; Bachelor's degree preferred.
• Minimum 5 years of supervisory experience.
• Prior experience using and knowledge of WMS & ERP required.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and Inventory/Shipping software required.
• Strong organizational and time management skills required.
• Strong and effective communication skills, both verbal and written. (English/Spanish)
• Must be able to pass drug and background screen.
• Must have legal status in the US
