    Job DescriptionDescription:

    · Perform a wide variety of technical duties associated primarily with order engineering and operations support: processing, verification, and coordination of design, drafting, and related requirements for military, and commercial orders to ensure compliance with specified technical data and requirements, contractual specifications and deviations as necessary.

    · Review customer purchase orders with regard to technical data and/or changes in technical or engineering specifications. Review purchase requisitions for components, equipment, and materials required for specified orders and ensure compliance with contract technical requirements.

    · Determine drawings and technical engineering, and other documentation required for job contract. Coordinate, assist, and check as necessary the work of others in the preparation of layout, detail and assembly drawings and bills of material for the orders being processed. Confer with affected departments, shop supervision, and others on special work, rerouting, shortages, schedule date changes, and other pertinent matters.

    · Assist shop and other personnel in the interpretation of drawings and other relevant problems. Advise manufacturing of any discrepancies between specifications and manufacturing practices. Respond in a timely fashion to questions raised by other sales, engineering, quality, and operations personnel.

    · Process and/or review original and changes to: BOMs, routings, special instructions, applicable technical, quality, and manufacturing procedures, materials of build, and repair procedures and routings.

    · Ensure order entry, structured BOMs, drawings, change orders, engineering change orders, job routings, corresponding technical procedures, and customer technical specifications are captured and adhered to in all order entry details.

    · Develop very strong proficiency in ERP system.

    · Prepare or review customer technical and data submittals as needed.

    · Work with engineering department to ensure new and modified designs are consistent with BP best technical practice and customer specifications. Recommend cost and producibility improvements.

    · Create or review for accuracy and completeness, operational job packets.

    Requirements:

    Education/Experience

    · Prefer 4 yr. bachelor's degree in mechanical/industrial technology or engineering discipline.

    · Prefer 5 years related experience.

    · Knowledge, mechanical acumen and experience more important than academic degree(s).

    · Highly team and results oriented

    · Strong AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or similar CAD skills and experience

    · Must be skilled at detailed drawing review, creation, tolerancing, and dimensioning

    · Strong preference for centrifugal pump design experience

    · Proficiency in Microsoft Office products to organize and communicate

    · Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
