    Teck Alaska Incorporated, Red Dog Operations, one of the world's largest producers of zinc concentrate, is recruiting for a Analyst, Business Improvement.

    Rotation schedule will be 2 weeks on-site with 2 weeks off-site

    Responsibilities:

    • Be a courageous safety leader, adhere to and sponsor safety and environmental rules and procedures

    • Support improvement projects to drive efficiency, reduce waste, and improve quality.

    • Work with area and departments leads to evaluate ideas, drive organizational change management strategies, and sustain initiatives.

    • Support the site's Continuous Improvement process.

    • Identify potential opportunities and initiatives to apply and improve site performance through the application of an in-depth understanding of the mining business, key cost centers, business drivers and validate reported benefits against a common framework and methodology.

    • Facilitate data-driven idea generating sessions to identify, establish root cause, and resolve problems.

    • Use data-driven insights to identify trends, patterns, and areas for improvement.

    • Implement data analysis tools and methodologies to assess business performance.

    • Perform other duties as assigned.

    Qualifications:

    • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or related technical field is required.

    • Minimum of three (3) years experience in a technical role in an operations environment, preferably in the mining industry.

    • Experience using Business Improvement tools i.e. Root cause analysis, OEE, mistake proofing, DMAIC, & 5S is required.

    • Advanced knowledge and experience in Microsoft Office, Excel, and PowerPoint, applications.

    • Proven ability to develop complex excel spreadsheets or develop programs using data transformation and visualization software such as Power BI.

    • Strong interpersonal communication, written and verbal skills.

    • Able to work with minimal supervision.

    • Ability to work in a team environment and work effectively across all levels of the business.

    • A willingness to continually learn, both from others and from internet resources to keep your skillset sharp in a rapidly evolving technical area.
