Database Administrator

This position supports the organization's mission by providing technical database expertise and managing the efforts to import collect store transmit and use data across the organization.

The City currently maintains a SQL environment and has recently completed an Information Technology Strategic Planning process that identifies a number of necessary system upgrades. Design implementation and administration of databases to support these new systems is an essential function for this position.

1. Responsible for installation support and maintenance of the database platforms across the organization.
2. Under minimal or no supervision the position will be responsible for applying new releases and upgrades and supporting all products.

• Creates manages multiple databases tablespaces indexes Maintains databases up to current security standards May direct staff in advanced database management procedures diagnostics when necessary
