ResponsibilitiesAttends the surgeon and surgical team peri-operatively to provide for optimum peri-operative experience. Knowledge of anatomy, instrumentation, patient safety and sterile technique. Knowledge of anatomy, instrumentation, patient safety and sterile technique.
Our state-of-the-art hospital in Jacksonville includes 34 operating rooms that include an IMRI OR suite and a dedicated endovascular OR suite.

QualificationsQualifications for Internal Candidates
EDUCATION :
Graduate of an accredited and/or hospital approved Surgical Technician program. Certification preferred.
EXPERIENCE :
Fulfilled through the educational process and documented on a skill check list which is kept current on each individual.
Additional Qualifications:
COMPETENCY:
Otorhinolaryngology, Urology, General/Gynecology, Neurology, Orthopedics, Cardiovascular. Cardiothoracic experience strongly preferred.
JOB KNOWLEDGE:
Principles of aseptic technique; orientation of surgical procedures; preparation, operation and care of equipment and machines; understands patient and staff safety recommendations.
