    Job Title: Civil Superintendent

    Position Overview:

    We are seeking an experienced and results-driven Civil Superintendent to oversee our civil construction operations and ensure the successful completion of projects. As a Civil Superintendent, you will be responsible for coordinating and managing all aspects of civil construction, including earthwork, utilities, grading, and paving. Your leadership, expertise, and attention to detail will be essential in delivering high-quality civil work that meets project requirements, safety standards, and client expectations.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Project Management: Lead and manage civil construction projects from initiation to completion, including planning, scheduling, budgeting, and resource allocation to achieve project goals and objectives.
    • Team Leadership: Supervise and coordinate civil construction crews, subcontractors, and vendors, providing direction, guidance, and support to ensure efficient and effective project execution.
    • Quality Assurance: Implement and enforce quality control measures to ensure that all civil work meets or exceeds industry standards, specifications, and client requirements. Conduct inspections and address any deficiencies promptly.
    • Safety Compliance: Promote and enforce a culture of safety on the job site, ensuring compliance with safety regulations, protocols, and procedures. Conduct safety meetings, inspections, and training sessions to mitigate risks and prevent accidents.
    • Material and Equipment Management: Coordinate the procurement, delivery, and utilization of materials, equipment, and machinery required for civil construction activities. Ensure proper maintenance and operation of equipment to maximize efficiency and productivity.
    • Client Communication: Serve as the primary point of contact for clients and project stakeholders regarding civil construction matters, providing regular updates, addressing inquiries, and resolving issues to maintain positive relationships and client satisfaction.
    • Cost Control: Monitor project costs, expenses, and labor hours to ensure adherence to budgetary constraints. Identify opportunities for cost-saving measures and efficiency improvements while maintaining quality standards.
    • Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate project documentation, including daily reports, progress updates, change orders, and as-built drawings. Generate reports and documentation as required by project specifications and company procedures.

    Qualifications:

    • Bachelors degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field preferred.
    • Proven experience as a Civil Superintendent or in a similar leadership role within the construction industry, with a focus on civil construction activities such as earthwork, utilities, grading, and paving.
    • Thorough knowledge of civil construction techniques, materials, equipment, and regulations, as well as industry standards and best practices.
    • Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively lead and collaborate with diverse teams.
    • Proficiency in project management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
    • Ability to prioritize tasks, manage multiple projects simultaneously, and adapt to changing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
