    USD $70,919.20/Yr. - USD $114,120.44/Yr.

    Department Summary

    The mission of the UCLA Center for the Developing Adolescent (CDA) is to advance the developmental science of adolescence as well as the use of this science to improve the health, education, and well-being of youth.
    Position Summary

    CDA is seeking a Senior Research Associate with expertise in child development to curate the latest research in the developmental science of adolescent. The Senior Research Associate will play a crucial role in ensuring that the Center's content is rooted in the most up to date evidence. The position involves surveying scientific literature across the fields of adolescent psychology, biology, and neuroscience to summarize and synthesize the latest findings. The Senior Research Associate will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams within CDA, including Communications and Policy and Practice, to develop science-based content that is accurate, accessible, and relevant to those working to improve the health, education, and well-being of adolescents. The mission of the UCLA Center for the Developing Adolescent (CDA) is to advance the developmental science of adolescence as well as the use of this science to improve the health, education, and well-being of youth.

    Salary & Compensation

    *UCLA provides a full pay range. Actual salary offers consider factors, including budget, prior experience, skills, knowledge, abilities, education, licensure and certifications, and other business considerations. Salary offers at the top of the range are not common.     Qualifications

  • Research 3-5 years of experience. (Required)
  • Strong writing skills with the ability to synthesize complex information and manage feedback. (Required)
  • Applied understanding of science-based communication, translation, and initiatives for child or adolescent development. (Required)
  • Excellent verbal and interpersonal skills, including active listening and political acumen, to effectively communicate with individuals from diverse backgrounds. (Required)
  • Strong time management skills and the ability to consistently meet deadlines across multiple projects. (Required)
  • Experience with public speaking. (Preferred)
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team with meticulous attention to detail. (Required)

    • Education, Licenses, Certifications & Personal Affiliations

  • PhD Psychology, Neuroscience, Public Health, or a related field; or an equivalent combination of education and experience. (Required)
