Job summary
Provides for a clean and safe area conducive to optimal patient care Utilizes aseptic surgical techniques in the preparation of materials supplies and equipment for surgical procedures performs all types of procedures maintains basic knowledge of various procedures ensures environmental disinfection safety efficiency of the operating room transports patients and or equipment supplies.
Responsibilities
- Provides for a clean safe efficient area conducive to optimal patient care Utilizes aseptic surgical techniques in the preparation of materials supplies equipment for surgical procedures assistance with gowning gloving provision sterile field instruments suture related material anticipation Surgeons needs passing instruments supplies holding retractors observing reporting possible breaks in sterile technique assisting maintaining dry unobstructed field
