    Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Sector (NGAS) is seeking an Budget Analyst to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals.

    This position will be in Redondo Beach or Palmdale, CA on a possible hybrid work schedule.


    Essential Functions:


    Compiles and reviews budgets for corporate or organizational units using actual performance, previous budget figures, estimated revenue, expense reports, and other data sources to control funds and provide for proper financial administration.

    Prepares financial plans, monitors implementation of financial policies, prepares regular and special-purpose reports, maintains historical records, analyzes trends, establishes cost rates and personnel forecasts, recommends and interprets budgetary policies and procedures, prepares comparative evaluation of actual costs against budgeted funds, and determines rationale for variances between costs and budget.

    This position will seek to meet the financial goals and objectives of the organization.

    Responsibilities include but are not limited to overseeing and coordinating all aspects of Functional Business Management for an organization of approximately 750 employees:

    indirect expense planning and monitoring, direct allocations, capital and NCTA budgeting/tracking, time charging and compliance policy guidance, manpower forecasting, support and monitoring of aircraft service center, support of integration and test operations and resource requirements, and other activities.

    Ideal candidate must be self-motivated and have strong interpersonal skills. Oral and written communication skills are very important factors to the successful execution of job responsibilities.

    Successful candidate will need very strong technical skills with Excel, analytical and organizational skills, and will need to feel confident interfacing with all levels of management (Director, Center Managers, Department Managers, Section Managers, Technical Staff).


    Basic Qualifications:
    Bachelor's degree with 3 years of experience in economics, finance, accounting, or business administration or Master's degree with 1 year of stated experience along with the following:

    Advanced Excel experience

    Extensive hands-on experience with Tableau

    Experience with building statistical modeling

    Proficiency in Microsoft Office (PowerPoint and Word)

    Oral and written communication skills

    Knowledge of SAP/S4 a plus

    Ability to obtain DoD Secret clearance

    Ability to be onsite in Redondo Beach or Palmdale, CA 2-3 days per week


    Preferred Qualifications:
    Experience with SQL

    Knowledge of financial reporting and accounting principles

    Demonstrated ability to effectively participate on team projects


    Salary Range:
    $65,600 - $98,400


    The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.

    Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
