    Job Summary

    We are seeking a skilled Emergency Medical Specialist to join our team at Acadian Ambulance Service. As a key member of our emergency response team, you will provide timely and efficient pre-hospital advanced and basic life support care to patients in compliance with established protocols.

    Duties and Responsibilities:

    • Operate ambulance equipment and ensure patient safety during transport.
    • Document all aspects of patient care, including medical history, treatment administered, and any relevant observations.
    • Conduct regular equipment checks to ensure that all necessary tools and supplies are available and in good working order.
    • Maintain effective communication with medical personnel to ensure seamless patient handover at medical facilities.

    Requirements

    • National and/or State certification as an Emergency Medical Technician-Paramedic determined by appropriate state requirements.
    • Current CPR certification as established by the American Heart Association.
    • Current ACLS certification as established by the American Heart Association.
    • Valid state-issued driver's license (equivalent of a Louisiana Class D driver's license).

    Compensation and Benefits

    The estimated salary for this position is $65,000 - $80,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications. Additionally, we offer a comprehensive benefits package, including health insurance, retirement plan, and paid time off.
