    Company Overview

    Community Resource Network of Florida is seeking a diligent, caring, reliable Life Skills Trainer to support Adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities (I/DD) in enhancing their independence and leading fulfilling lives. The role involves guiding individuals in Self-Advocacy, Rights Education, Health and Safety, and fostering skills for daily living and job tasks.

    We engage in cooking, community outings, and enjoyable activities while promoting independence and goal achievement.

    We are seeking individuals with a strong desire to assist others and positively impact lives.

    Working hours are Monday to Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Some flexibility in scheduling is offered, with part-time options available if preferred.

    $15.00 per hour

    Responsibilities and Duties

    • Ensure the well-being and respectful treatment of all Individuals.
    • Complete necessary documentation, including daily notes and progress summaries.
    • Cultivate a welcoming and supportive environment throughout the facility.
    • Escort Individuals to various areas within the facility.
    • Deliver daily classes and activities following a Person-Centered approach.
    • Provide assistance with meals, as well as personal care needs.

    Qualifications and Skills

    • High school Diploma or GED required.
    • College education can be a substitute for practical experience.
    • Successful completion of Level II background check.
    • Passing a drug screening test.

    Requirements

    Minimum one year of relevant experience in healthcare, psychology, nursing, or childcare/adult care. Educational qualifications can substitute for work experience.
