    As

    Electrical Engineer

    you will be part of a team focusing on the hardware development for radiotherapy treatment machines. Our aim is to provide customers highly integrated cutting-edge solutions with outstanding systems reliability.

    We closely collaborate with other engineering locations of Varian, mainly at our R&D site in Budapest, Hungary and Palo Alto, California.

    Ideally you have PCBA design and firmware development background.


    Specific Responsibilities:
    Designs PCBAs and cabling harnesses based on specification.
    Builds prototypes for evaluation.
    Prototype test planning, execution and reporting.
    Develops embedded software for microcontrollers.
    Documentation in technical drawings, BOMs, design reviews, design descriptions.
    Collaborates with local team members, as well as colleagues in neighboring teams and sites.
    Liaisons with external stakeholders, suppliers, project and product managers.
    Takes responsibility for design requirements, DFMEA and risk control measures.


    Minimum Required Skills and Knowledge:
    Proficient in utilizing business tools such as: E-mail, Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
    Knowledge in systems engineering fields or motivated to learn them determined by project need.
    Experience with PCBA design software (Altium, Mentor Graphics tools).
    Embedded software IDEs and FPGA development background is an advantage.

    Typical Education and Experience:

    Bachelors degree (or equivalent experience) in Electrical Engineering and 5 years of related experience or Masters Degree in Electrical Engineering or similar degree with 3 years of related experience.

    Highly proficient in both spoken and written English.
