HOW A SYSTEMS ADMINISTRATOR SENIOR (VDI) WILL MAKE AN IMPACT

The Senior Virtual Desktop Infrastructure (VDI) Administrator provides administration, monitoring, and update current and new virtual infrastructure systems, support critical system patches, respond to incidents, and schedule activitiesAct as the Senior VDI System Administrator and is considered a subject matter expert on Virtual infrastructures, to include virtual networking, virtual systems, zero trust, virtual capabilities, Microsoft technologies to include FsLogix, Active Directory Services, DHCP, DNS, GPO management, while providing overall Tier 2/3 support.

Work in a VMware vCenter, vSphere, Hyper-V, and Horizon View environment supporting both virtual servers and desktops (VDI) which include Dynamic environment manager, NSX, VRealize, VMware Cloud, and site recovery manager.

Configure and maintain virtual pools, pods, and all virtual desktop components within VMware horizon and Microsoft Remote Desktop ServicesApply DISA Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIG's) as requiredDevelops functional requirements through interaction with end-users and coordinates with support teams on systematic enhancements or changesMonitor, organize and work collaboratively with Network Operations, Cyber Security and other Teams to optimize and collaborate solutionsLearn, mentor, and train junior personnel as neededManage incident tickets and provide status updates on each ticket per the Service Level AgreementProvide system and application diagnoses to remediate issues while engaging other teams as needed Basic QualificationsWorking knowledge of VMware Horizon View, VMware vCenter, VMware Virtual Desktop Infrastructure, Microsoft remote desktop system, Azure Virtual Desktop, and other virtual technologiesPossesses knowledge of security policies and general vulnerabilities management in relation to virtualizationLeads efforts to ensure data/media recoverability by following a schedule of system backups and database archive operations.

Develops performance and security plans for computers that meet the needs of network users.
May coach and provide guidance to less-experienced professionalWHAT YOU'


LL NEED TO SUCCEED:

Education:
High School Diploma/GED with 10 years of related experience, or Associate's Degree with 8 years of experience, or Bachelor's Degree with 6 years of experience

Required Skillset:
Knowledge of the principles, methods, and techniques used in network administration and supportKnowledge of related hardware and software


Security Clearance Level:
TS/SCIRequired Certification(s):

DoD M IAT Level II Computing Environment (CE)

Certification as determined by the Program Manager is required prior to support on contractRequired Security Environment Certification:
CompTIA Security+ CE or equivalent

Computing Env:
MCSA Server 2016 (Must obtain the full AZ104 Microsoft Azure Administrator within 180 days from start date.)
