Make design layouts and production drawings and be capable of assuring form, fit, and function of components through dimensional studies.
The Role
Amphenol Aerospace Operations is seeking aDesign Engineerto work out of its state-of-the-art facility in Sidney, NY.
A hybrid work schedule option may be available following an initial onsite training period.
The key responsibilities of thisDesign Engineerinclude, but are not limited to:
+ Prepares designs and specifications.
+ Assists in generation of layouts.
+ Interfaces with other departments for the manufacturing and testing of samples.
+ Interfaces with customers and vendors to assure conformance to customer specifications.
+ Possess a working knowledge of PTC Creo and Windchill.
+ Ability to make drawings for production and customers.
+ Coordinate the manufacturing of customer prototypes.
+ Perform the functions required to process estimate requests and marketing product requests.
+ Review customer documents for compliance with internal documents and if necessary prepare new designs to conform to these documents.
+ Keep supervision informed of status of all activities on a periodic basis.

The Person
The key skills and qualities of aDesign Engineerat Amphenol Aerospace Operations:
+ Associate's or Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field
+ Experience in Design or Design Engineering
+ Experience with AutoCAD and/or Creo is preferred but not required
+ Willing to travel
