Position Overview: As a Traveling Construction Superintendent, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of commercial construction projects at various locations across the country. From project initiation to completion, you will ensure that projects are executed safely, efficiently, and to the highest quality standards. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work on diverse projects and travel to different locations while leading construction teams to success.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage all on-site construction activities for commercial construction projects, including scheduling, coordination, and supervision of subcontractors, vendors, and suppliers.
• Collaborate with project managers, architects, engineers, and clients to develop and implement project plans, budgets, and schedules that align with project objectives and client requirements.
• Conduct regular site inspections to monitor work progress, safety compliance, and quality control, addressing any issues or concerns promptly.
• Ensure that project schedules are met and milestones are achieved by effectively managing resources, resolving conflicts, and implementing corrective actions as needed.
• Foster a culture of safety on-site by implementing and enforcing safety protocols and best practices to maintain a safe work environment for all personnel.
• Communicate regularly with project stakeholders to provide updates on project progress, milestones, and any potential risks or delays.
• Manage project documentation, including RFIs, submittals, change orders, and meeting minutes, using construction management software.
• Travel to project sites as required to oversee construction activities, attend meetings, and collaborate with project teams.

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Construction Superintendent, with a focus on commercial construction projects.
• Strong understanding of construction techniques, building codes, and industry best practices.
• Tenant improvement or renovation construction a plus
• Experience managing subcontractors, vendors, and suppliers to ensure project success.
• Excellent leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire construction teams to achieve project goals.
• Ability to travel extensively and work flexible hours as required to meet project deadlines and objectives.
• Proficiency in construction management software (e.g., Procore, PlanGrid) and Microsoft Office suite.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse stakeholders.
