Position Overview

The purpose of this position will be to assist with the operations of multiple grants/projects that are within the Center for Health Inclusion Research and Practice (CHIRP).

This is a part-time, grant-funded position, contingent upon external funding.


Primary Responsibilities:
Responsible for supporting CHIRP Director, Principal Investigators, and the CHIRP Research Manager.

Supervision and management of research assistants including recruiting, interviewing, hiring, training, and scheduling.

Assist the CHIRP Research Manager in day-to-day operations of the CHIRP, including contracts, procurement of equipment & supplies, communication materials development.

Assist in community engagement and outreach to engage with internal and external partners at Merrimack College and CHIRP.

Assist with data collection, coding, analysis, manuscripts, and presentations. Also assist with conducting interviews and consents/assents and other applicable study screenings.

Assist with the development of protocols, IRB submissions, compliance reviews, grant reports, and troubleshooting.

Assist with project set-up and management in REDCap.

Assist with grant budget management


Qualifications:
Master's level preferred, Bachelor's required.

Excellent written, verbal and organizational skills – detail oriented

Ability to work with minimal supervision

Proven ability to communicate successfully with team members, students, faculty and administrators

Ability to manage multiple responsibilities, meet deadlines, and juggle competing priorities

Fluent in Microsoft Office

(Word/Excel/PowerPoint/Outlook)

Excellent writing, editing and proofreading skills

Operational and project management experience, preferably in a research environment

Supervising and management experience such as recruiting, interviewing, hiring, training, evaluating

Experience with database and reporting software

Experience with IRB submissions and modifications preferred

Budgeting, purchase and ordering experience
