- Monitor and maintain inventory to support the sales activity of the company
- Place new PO and monitor existing PO with product vendors
- Monitor market trends - projection of product dips and spikes
- Analyze vendor performance i.e., on time shipment, quality of product to reduce supply uncertainties
- Document and track damaged material credits from vendors
- Analyze inventory turns and averages
- Interact with unloading and yard personnel
- Assist operations in managing inventory levels
- Analyze new products with the R&D team
- Ensure daily inventory for both manufacturing is completed on time
- Assist other departments with inventory ordering
- Order office and other supplies for both manufacturing facilities
- Coordinate delivery of products with our third party hauling vendor from plants
- Update purchasing data across several different spreadsheets
- Assist manufacturing plants with completing month end inventory
- High School Diploma/GED
- 5 years of inventory control and/or purchasing experience
- Minimum of 5 years of wood procuring experience
- Working knowledge of ERP systems, specifically procurement and sourcing, inventory management, and MRP
- Strong computer skills, including Google Suite software
- Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer
- May be required to stand or walk for extended periods of time
- May occasionally be required to stand; walk; reach with hands and arms and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl
- Must be able to life up to 15 pounds at times

If so, we would love to hear from you Liberty Sheds has a full-time opening for our Purchasing Agent position supporting our manufacturing teams in Mocksville and Vanceboro.
POSITION SUMMARY:
The Purchasing Agent is responsible for the timely purchase of materials, commodities, supplies, equipment, negotiating prices and delivery as necessary to achieve the lowest cost to the company, and execute Purchase Orders (POs) in a timely manner.
ATTITUDE/POSTURE:

WORK ENVIRONMENT AND SCHEDULE:
This position is on-site, full-time Monday - Friday, 8:30 am - 5 pm with a 30 minute lunch. The work environment for employees will take place primarily inside a climate-controlled office setting. Employees can expect to experience moderate levels of noise that is typically associated with a busy office environment.
