GEI is seeking a Branch Manager to lead our Glastonbury, CT Branch, which is a diverse multi-disciplinary office of 30 environmental, geotechnical, water resources, and instrumentation services scientists and engineers plus seasoned construction management and data management personnel.
The Branch Manager maintains an atmosphere of respect, inclusion, equity, and collaboration in a casual yet professional setting.The Branch Manager leads the Branch operations and performance including client service, H&S, staff development, QA/QC, financial management, business development, strategic growth, and intra- and inter-office collaboration.
The Branch Manager establishes and maintains a leadership team to accomplish these goals and reports to the East Region Operations Manager.
In addition to branch management responsibilities, time is allocated to business development and client project delivery consistent with a seller/doer model.
Establishes and maintains a branch leadership team to execute duties listed herein.Leads branch to meet or exceed financial, business development, strategic, client satisfaction, and technical service goals.
Demonstrate a high degree of creativity, foresight, and initiative in planning, organizing, and guiding the activities of the branch.
Develops and implements annual strategic branch growth plans and budgets.
Assures that QA/QC procedures are well understood and consistent in execution.
Serves as a business development leader for respective area of expertise.
Works with branch staff to foster client development, cross-selling, and multi-disciplinary project delivery.
Responsible for talent acquisition, mentorship, training, retention, and staff engagement.
Emphasizes and ensures GEI health and safety practices are followed by staff.
Fosters collaboration and sharing of resources and project opportunities.
Minimum Qualifications
B.S. required in a GEI core Engineering or Science discipline (M.S. desirable).
Experience: 12+ years relevant industry experience.
P.G., P.E. and/or Connecticut LEP strongly preferred.
Demonstrated multi-disciplinary team leadership, mentorship, and communications abilities.
Demonstrated success leading groups to meet or exceed business objectives.
Successful seller-doer and known industry leader, locally and regionally.
