- Create detailed designs of water/wastewater treatment plants, pump stations and collection/distribution systems.
- Prepare drawings write specifications, analysis and study-level reports for water and wastewater systems, determine appropriate design methods, equipment sizing and selection, and cost estimation.
- Assist the project manager throughout the design and construction phases of projects.
- Perform other duties as needed.
- B.S. in Civil, Environmental, Mechanical, or Chemical Engineering.
- 5 years of experience
- PE
- Experience in evaluating, designing, and/or developing drawings and specifications for water/wastewater treatment facilities and pump station projects is preferred.
- Ideal candidate is self-motivated, an excellent communicator (written and verbal), attentive to detail, able to work independently and with a project team to the completion of a task.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office is required.Experience with Microsoft Project or Primavera project management software is preferable.
- An attitude and commitment to being an active participant of our employee-owned culture is a must.
- M.S. in Civil or Environmental Engineering is preferred.
- MicroStation and/or AutoCAD experience a plus.

Primary Responsibilities
HDR is currently in need of a Water/Wastewater Engineer to work as a member of the Water Business Group in our Cincinnati Ohio office.
