    SUMMARY OF POSITION
    The Mechanical/ Manufacturing Engineer will manage assigned job order schedules to completion. Produce manufacturing plans and provide engineering support. Review production equipment, tools/fixtures and assembly lines to ensure proper and safe operation and minimize and/or eliminate down time. Prepare and tool-proof manufacturing assembly instructions and routing documentation. Work on continuous

    improvement/special

    projects to improve efficiency for products. Assist in development of specifications, test plans, etc. related to product development activities.

    Key Performance Indicators
    Manage tasks independently; must be self-motivated, detailed oriented with a "can-do" attitude while under pressure and rigid timeframes.
    Develop project schedule and follow through to finish and provide regular status reports
    Make sure product is moving if not escalate to department manager
    Thoroughly check other engineer's travelers and BOMs
    Issue change notices for missing material
    Request department/manager assistance immediately and document issues when they arise via e-mail
    Produce work instructions
    Organize complex projects as well as updating managers daily on project issues
    Complete Work Instructions on time per production plan
    Core Functions
    Responsible for creating, documenting, developing drawings and specifications used to manufacture, assemble and test/inspect the Company's products.

    Apply engineering knowledge and experience to the design and development of new products as well as product changes and enhancements.

    Maintain accurate documentation of designs, drawings, specifications and processes.
    Provide engineering and technical support of products to internal and external requests.
    Utilize computer aided software to document drawings and /or three dimensional models.
    Provide technical leadership and guidance to others.
    Utilize computer software for the bill of material and routing instructions to support production.
    Responsible for the design, installation, and debug of tooling and capital equipment.
    Knowledge of CNC programming in "G" and "N" code.
    Performs other related duties as assigned.

    Qualifications and Experience
    Degree or equivalent experience in the technical field (Mechanical Engineer Degree Preferred )
    Minimum 2 years of experience in engineering
    Read and understand electrical and mechanical drawings

    Literacy in computer operating systems and applications such as Microsoft Windows, Word, Excel, Automated Drafting Program (Autocad, Solidworks, and Camworks), etc.

    Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals.
    Knowledge of Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing (GD&T) Techniques.
    Previous background should include knowledge of parts and nomenclature as well as demonstrated ability to deal with customers.

    Bi-lingual (English/Spanish) a plus
