Description

Primary Job Functions: To perform custodial duties assigned, supervise personnel, plan programs for cleaning, maintain an inventory on equipment and supplies, requisition necessary equipment and supplies, and maintain an efficient staff. Monitor employee performance.

Minimum Qualifications and Credentials Required:

1. Educational Requirements: A high school education or equivalent is required.
2. Possess Skills and Knowledge: To manage employees, plan for an efficient cleaning operation, and knowledge of equipment and products to be used.
3. Experience: At least two years as a custodian, with a desire to be in a supervisory capacity. If experience is less than two years, must demonstrate a willingness to be instructed by and learn from experienced supervisors.
4. Certification: Desirable, but not required. Motivation should be sufficient to obtain certification through organizational or company programs.
5. Other: Maintain a good relationship with pupils, staff, patrons, and the community.
