Job DescriptionThis position is responsible for maintaining the sales department in a manner that is consistent with the company's mission of excellence in service, selection and quality while achieving sales, gross profit and labor objectives and fostering a favorable employee relations environment.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
The following description of work to be performed by this individual is not intended to be all-inclusive. Rather, it focuses on the major tasks that must be accomplished. There are many necessary activities to satisfy any of the following performance guidelines.
PERSONAL RESPONSIBILITIES
● Foster a warm, friendly and positive work atmosphere consistent with Hans & Harry's Bakery motto.
● Work as a team with all staff members
● Keep staff motivated
● Adhere to bakery's policies and procedures and ensure sales associates adhere as well.
● Comply with customer service and safety policies
● Ensuring that all members of their department comply with bakery regulations and company policies and procedures.
● Provide & assist with employee training on store products, policies and procedures – fine tune/update current list
● Supervises sales associates' work
● work to create team environments by handling employee issues and modeling appropriate behavior and performance.
● determine the staffing needs of the storefront area – during slow & busy times
● providing feedback to Supervisor of employee performance/behavior for - coaching & mentoring purposes
● Lead by example e.g punctuality, following dress code, bakery's policy
● Greet and provide assistance to customers and ensure that the departmental staff are doing the same
● Assist Supervisors with duties throughout the day e.g sending EE to breaks, pick-ups etc
● Balancing the cash register if they work during the closing shift (when closing without a closing Supervisor).
● Checking and processing orders.
● Managing WooComm.
● Maintain confidentiality with EE feedback and EE information.
