    Duties


    • Schedules and conducts staff assistance visits and reviews with allied and friendly nations as required.
    • Promotes and represents the Army position on weapons systems acquisition and methods to improve initiatives and leads participation in special studies and exercises.
    • Coordinates the scheduling and conduct of Security Cooperation Forums and other key cooperative meetings for assigned region and ensures the topics to be discussed are based on the current and projected initiatives with the country.
    • Provides expertise on the review and preparation of assigned country trip books for senior United States government officials.
    • Serves as the subject matter expert to brief senior officials on international cooperation programs, information about the country, and anticipated issues
    Requirements Conditions of Employment


    • Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
    • A one-year probationary period may be required.
    • Incumbent must be able to obtain and maintain a Top Secret security clearance.
    • This position requires Temporary Duty (TDY) travel up to 30% of the time.
    • This position requires Practitioner certification in Acquisition Career Field "Program Management" or the incumbent must be able to obtain certification within 60 months of appointment.

    Specialized experience:
    To qualify, applicants must possess one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade/level (NH-03)

    Specialized experience:
    One year of specialized experience equivalent to the NH-03 pay band or equivalent grade in the Federal service which includes: 1) Managing Security Assistance programs to meet predefined delivery metrics
    2) Managing Armaments Cooperation programs to ensure bilateral collaboration
    3) Developing Foreign Military Sales Letters of Offer and Acceptance to ensure adherence to guidance
    4) Applying Security Assistance policy to ensure successful program execution
