    Description

    Acuity is seeking a Front-End Developer (Vue) who will be an integral part of Acuity's Application Engineering Web team, responsible for supporting Acuity's UX/UI Vision, specifically around continuing to build out the framework, tools, and components at Acuity. The person in this role should haveknowledge of frontend frameworks such as Vue, React, and Angular as well as supporting libraries.

    ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

    • Very familiar with programming concepts, practices, and procedures associated with Object Oriented or structural system designs. Mentors others on these topics when appropriate.
    • Understands when, where, and why to use different programming languages and tools used by their development team. Able to identify and correct coding inefficiencies.
    • Consults with users to identify current operating procedures and clarify program objectives. Able to recognize short comings in specifications and take appropriate corrective actions, prior to coding and implementation.
    • Follows and/or creates test plans appropriate for the scope of the programming changes.
      Capable of understanding and employing various data storage techniques and utilities. Follows strategies for data archive and recovery.
    • Follows test plans and/or creates test plans appropriate for the scope of the development changes.
    • Has knowledge of frontend test frameworks such as Jest, Cypress, and Vitest.
    • Creates or updates all documentation effected by a change, including rerun or disaster recovery documentation and procedures.
    • Resolves production problems and participates in the nightly call list for problem resolution.
    • Regular and predictable attendance.
    • Performs other duties as assigned.
    • Follows department standards and procedures and recognizes when changes to these may be justified.
    DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS
    • Works on enterprise-wide projects relating to front-end development.
    • Works closely with cross-functional teams including designers and backend developers to deliver high quality and user-friendly experiences including:
      • Building out Acuity's global component library
      • Building out and implementing Acuity's roadmap
      • Building both customer and internally facing applications to support the needs of the business.
    • Has knowledge of commonly used programming concepts, practices, and procedures common to Object Oriented Programming.
    • Has in-depth knowledge of
    • Has knowledge of JavaScript, HTML, TypeScript, and CSS
    • Has knowledge of frontend frameworks such as Vue, React, and Angular as well as supporting libraries such as Vue Router, Axios, and Pinia
    EDUCATION:

    Bachelor's degree or equivalent of education and experience.

    DESIRED EXPERIENCE:

    3+ years of experience in software development, with a strong focus on frontend development. In-depth knowledge of is preferred.

    OTHER:

    • Completes a mandatory training program as determined by Acuity.
    • Capable of following very detailed instructions.
    • Able to multitask.
    • Must have actual programming experience.
    • Must be familiar with basic mainframe or client server computing architectures.
    Thisposition is classified as exempt.

    The salary range for this position is $76,500 - $125,000 annually. This salary range is an estimate and the actual salary will vary based on applicant's education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities.
